Who am I?
My name is Chardé-Milou and for me, this shop is the best of two worlds: my love for books and my love for creating.
What is my mission?
The products I sell in the webshop are made from fabrics that I design myself and have printed on 100% cotton, certified fabrics (OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT AND GOTS). This not only makes the product environmentally friendly and safe but also ensures a consistently higher quality so that the product (and the product it protects) lasts longer. The filling used for the sleeves is also made from 100% natural material (50% cotton, 50% bamboo) and certified (OEKO-TEX STANDARD) for a higher quality product. It will retain its shape, even after multiple washes. I make all products by hand. The leftover fabric that cannot be used for covers or sleeves is not thrown away but repurposed into bookmarks. The textile waste mountain is already large enough.
What is my vision?
Reading is personal, so your cover or sleeve can be too! Choose something that suits you and make it personal! Books are meant to be read, devoured, cherished, and carried with you (physically or in your heart). You should take good care of them.
